A Valuation of the Appropriateness in Korean Legal Correspondence according to the America's Port Logistics Security Tendency

This study carried out the valuation about whether Korea's correspondence is correct or not, in legal point of view according to the American strengthening tendency of logistics security after 9.11 terror America's tendencies are divided into 3 category largely. First is security of port facilities and ship sailing internationally. Second is prior investigation on the containerized goods in exporting country. Third is logistics security authentication system. Korea's legal correspondence about port facilities and ship security is in progress properly. But the field of prior investigation on the container is not sufficient. The revision of the Customs Law is in need. And two legal framework on the logistics security authentication has been prepared 2008 already in Korea. Those are based on the Customs Law and KATS's (Korean Agency for Technology and Standards) Regulations But I think that it is more efficient to regulate the logistics security by the single law rather than the decentralized law system. Therefore I suggest that it is desired to revise the Logistics Policy Foundation Law(물류정책기본법), basic law covering the whole fields of logistics.
