치료레크리에이션이 지적장애청소년의 정서적행동에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 장애인주간보호시설에서 재활서비스를 받고 있는 지적장애청소년을 대상으로 치료 레크리에이션 프로그램의 적용 및 효과성을 검증하고 , 치료레크리에이션프로그램이 지적장애청소년들의 정서적행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구기간은 2007년 10월부터 2008년 1월까지 주1회, 총 15회기, 매 회기 당 40분간 치료레크리에이션 프로그램을 실시하였고, 프로그램 사전․사후에 정서적행동점수를 측정한 결과 프로그램실시 후 지적장애청소년들의 정서적행동이 개선된 것으로 나타났으며 이는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있음을 나타내고 있다. 그리고 각 정서적 행동요인별 결과도 우울반응과 사고의혼란 요인을 제외한 충동적반응, 불안반응, 사회화, 자아개념, 공격적반응 요인에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보여 정서적행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 치료레크리에이션 프로그램이 지적장애청소년들의 정서적행동 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지적장애청소년의 정서적행동 변화에 치료레크리에이션 프로그램이 임상재활분야에서, 적용이 가능하다는 점에 본 연구의 의의가 있다고 하겠다.

By conducting a therapeutic recreation program for adolescents with Intellectual Disability, this study aims to analyze and identify its effects on their emotional behavior, and to provide fundamental material that can be applied in development and application of therapeutic recreation for adolescents with Intellectual Disability in the field of clinical social work. For the purpose of this study, a total of 14 weekly therapeutic recreation sessions of 40 minutes were onducted from December of 2005 to March of 2006. As subjects of the study, 8 adolescents receiving rehabilitation service at a protection center for the disabled located in the city of Jeju were selected and the study was progressed. For data analysis, statistics program SPSS 12.0 was used and Wilcoxon rank sum test was used. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic recreation program, the Observational Emotional Inventory-Revised(OEI-R) was used prior to and following the evaluation of the test group. The results of the study are as follows. After conducting the therapeutic recreation program, of the total of 7 factors of emotional behavior (impulsive reaction, anxiety reaction, depressive reaction, socialization, self concept, aggressive reaction, and mental confusion), with the exception of depressive reaction and mental confusion, the test group of adolescents with Intellectual Disability showed improvement in the remaining 5 factors of emotional behavior. Conclusively, therapeutic recreation program was found to have positive effects on emotional behaviors of adolescents with Intellectual Disability. Therefore, it can be said that application of therapeutic recreation programs as a means for improving emotional behavior of adolescents with Intellectual Disability is possible in the field of clinical social work.
