청각장애인의 지식정보서비스 이용 욕구와 사회복지실천 과제

The Needs on Knowledge Information Service Use of People with Hearing Impairment and Tasks of Social Work Practice

지식정보사회에서 정보활용능력은 누구에게나 중요한 필수요소가 되고 있지만 장애인, 그 중에서도 청각장애인은 상대적으로 소외되고 있는 듯하다. 본 연구는 청각장애인의 공공도서관 이용 현황을 분석하고, 청각장애인들이 필요로 하는 지식정보서비스 욕구에 대해 당사자들의 실질적인 의견을 직접 들어봄으로써 지식정보 이용에 관련한 문제를 구체적으로 파악하고자 하였다. 면접 내용을 분석한 결과 총 31개의 주된 의미들이 나타났으며 이를 14개의 주제묶음으로 분류한 후 여기에서 마지막으로 총 4개의 대주제를 이끌어낼 수 있었다. 연구결과, 청각장애인들은 지식정보서비스 이용에 있어서 접근상의 어려움, 의사소통의 문제, 대체자료의 부족, 장애인에 대한 서비스 담당자를 비롯한 비장애인의 이해 부족을 가장 어려워하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이에 더해서 청각장애인 전용 공간의 확보, 다양한 교육문화 프로그램의 운영을 필요로 하고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청각장애인들의 지식정보서비스 이용을 높이기 위한 공공도서관의 실천 과제와 사회복지실천 과제를 각 단계별로 구분하여 제안하였다.

In knowledge information society, the ability of using information is becoming an important factor to everyone to live on but people with disabilities, especially people with hearing impairment seem to be alienated relatively. This study is reviewing the present using condition of public library services of people with hearing impairment and their needs on knowledge information service use, all throughout interviews. As the result of analysis of interview, 31 main concepts, 14 theme clusters and 4 grand themes have appeared. The result of this study showed the difficult of access in knowledge information services use, communication problem, destitution of alternative data and understanding on people with disabilities of non-disability people. Combined with this, they need a private space for people with hearing impairment, a multiplicity of educational and cultural programs. The findings from this study make proposal of tasks on public libraries and social work practice.
