장애인의 주관적 삶의 질 모형 분석

A Study on the Subjective Quality of Life of People with Disabilities

본 연구의 목적은 신체적(신체상태), 심리적(장애수용), 사회적(사회적 지지 및 사회참여), 사회경제적 요인(사회경제적 수준)들이 장애인의 주관적 삶의 질에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하는데 있다. 특히 본 연구는 기존의 장애인 삶의 질 연구에서 간과하고 있는 장애수용 요인을 포함시키고 장애와 관련된 신체상태, 사회참여 요인을 분석함으로써 장애인 고유의 삶의 질을 설명하고자 하였다. 또한 신체상태, 사회경제적 수준과 같은 객관적 요인들과 장애수용, 사회적 지지와 같은 주관적 요인들을 포함하여 분석함으로써 장애인의 주관적 삶의 질을 포괄적으로 설명하고자 하였다. 자료는 223명의 성인장애인을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 최종 215명의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료분석은 구조방정식모형을 활용하였으며, 이를 통해 다양한 요인들이 어떤 경로를 통해 삶의 질에 직접적, 간접적인 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 장애수용과 사회참여 요인이 장애인의 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 지지는 삶의 질에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 않았으나 장애수용과 사회참여를 매개로 삶의 질에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 신체상태는 사회참여를 매개로 삶의 질에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 사회경제적 수준은 삶의 질에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구결과를 토대로 장애인의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 개입방안에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this research was to test a structural equation model which specified the effects of physical, social, psychological, socioeconomic factors on subjective quality of life of people with disabilities. A survey research was conducted for a sample of 215 adults with disabilities. The data was analyzed using AMOS 7.0 program utilizing maximum likelihood method. The results showed that the acceptance of disability affected subjective quality of life. Also social participation affected subjective quality of life. But No direct effect has been found between socioeconomic level and subjective quality of life. Physical function gave no direct effects to subjective quality of life. Here social participation was played as an intervening factor. Social support gave no direct effects to subjective quality of life. Here acceptance of disability and social participation were played as intervening factors. On the basis of these results, this paper provide both discussions and suggestions for some strategies of improving the subjective quality of life of people with disabilities.
