A Study on the Regulation and Countermeasure for the International Maritime Crimes

Piracy and maritime terrorism are the forms of violent interference in international shipping. Their global reach and negative impact on sea transportation and maritime safety, as well as the threat they pose to human lives and property, call for effective countermeasures at the international and national level at the same time. Of Course, in order to respond against the maritime terrorism, also it will be considered with the technical prevention measures and cooperation plans of international society such as ISPS Code, PSC, PSI, CSI, 24-hour rule and C-TAPT. Amongst such countermeasures, those directed at strengthening the legal protection of international shipping become of paramount importance. Accordingly, the purpose of this study aims to analyse the regulation of maritime international convention that is related to maritime terrorism, which is issued in the effective countermeasures.
