정신장애인의 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인

A Study on the Factors Affecting Empowerment of The Mentally Disabled

본 연구는 임파워먼트가 가지는 맥락성과 차원성을 고려하여 정신장애인의 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 즉 개인적 차원에서는 정신장애관련요인을, 조직적 차원에서는 정신보건 서비스관련요인을, 그리고 사회적 차원에서는 지역사회관련요인으로 모형을 설정하였다. 연구를 위해 지역사회 정신보건서비스를 이용하고 있는 정신장애인 372명에게 설문조사를 실시하고 자료를 수집하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 본 연구의 모형은 통계적으로 유의미하며 표본에 존재하는 변량의 40% 정도를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 정신장애인의 임파워먼트에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 정신과적 증상정도, 임파워먼트 실천수준, 지역사회 참여와 자원접근인 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 기반하여 정신보건서비스 체계에서의 임파워먼트 실천을 위한 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting psychological empowerment of the mentally disabled, based on the dimension and context of the empowerment theory. In this study, a model is set by mental disability related factors in a personal dimension, metal health service related factorsin an organizational dimension, and community related factors in a social dimension. Data for analysis was collected from 372mentally disabled people using the community mental health service, and multiple regression analysis was used. As a result of the analysis, this model was found to be statistically significant and to explain about 40% of the variance that was present in the sample. Further it was found that factors affecting psychological empowerment of the mentally disabled were psychiatric symptoms, empowerment practice level, community participation, and access. Based on this analysis results, this article provides some suggestions for an empowerment practice in the community metal health system.
