Study and development of headmouse for people with physical disabilities

본 연구는 두 손을 사용하지 못하는 지체장애인에게 컴퓨터 접근성을 향상시키는 특수 마우스를 개발하는 것이다. 대상자는 손대신 머리를 움직임으로서 마우스 기능을 구현하도록 하였다. 따라서 제품을 머리에 착용할 수 있도록 만들었고 머리의 움직임을 인식하는 자이로센서를 이용하여 커서의 이동을 제어 하였고 마우스의 클릭 기능은 마이크로폰을 통해 구현하도록 설계하였다. 또한 머리에 착용하는 제품에서 공통적으로 야기되는 피로도, 착용감, 위생적 문제점들은 인체공학적 디자인을 통해 해결하였다. 제품을 구현하여 실험한 결과 새로 개발된 헤드마우스는 기존의 마우스에 비해 착용감은 30% 증기 되었고, 피도로는 25% 감소된 것을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a specialized mouse to accommodate people with physical disabilities and upper paralysis. which affect their abilities to properly access computers. This specialized mouse has been developed in Korea for the first time. This mouse is composed of a GYRO-Sensor controlled by head and a microphone that can be clicked by blowing. According to its ergonomical design, this Headmouse solved problems such as fatigue, discomfort, and hygiene problems We tested a newly developed Headmouse in which the results indicated a 30% increase in comfort and 25% reduction in fatigue.
