산재환자의 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

A study on factors affecting the mental health among patient with work-related injury

본 연구의 목적은 산재환자의 정신건강 상태를 살펴보고, 인구사회학적 요인, 산재관련 요인 및 산재환자들이 당면한 문제들에 대한 주관적 심각성 요인이 산재환자의 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 탐색적으로 분석해 보고 이를 토대로 산재환자의 정신건강 향상을 위한 실천 및 정책적 함의를 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 수도권에 소재하고 있는 산재병원에 입원 중인 산재환자 206명이다. 연구 결과, 대부분의 응답자들이 산업재해 발생이후 우울과 걱정, 집중력 저하 등 정신건강 상의 문제를 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 사회환경에 적응하는 데 있어서 어려움이 클수록, 배우자와의 갈등문제가 클수록, 장애문제가 클수록 또한 신경 손상환자일수록, 산재환자의 정신건강 문제가 더욱 심각한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 산재환자의 정신건강 문제는 재활과정의 유지에 중요한 만큼 산재보험 재활서비스체계 내에서 산재환자의 정신건강 문제가 더욱 악화되지 않도록 예방차원에서 접근하고 의료 및 재활프로그램과 통합적 차원에서 제공될 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 개발하고 보급할 필요가 있다.

This study explored factors affecting mental health among patients with work-related injury and suggested the implications for improving the rehabilitation service system for workers' compensation clients. The subjects of this study are 206 patients in public hospital for workers' compensation clients which were located in Kyung-gi Province surrounding the capital city. Major mental health problems among the subjects of this study were depression, anxiety, and lack of concentration. The result of a regression analysis demonstrated that factors such as the level of disability, neurotic injury, adaptation to social environment, and conflict with their spouse were statistically significantly associated with mental health among patients in the present study. This result indicates that the issue of mental health among patients with work-related injury needs to be considered critically in the rehabilitation process for workers' compensation clients.
