이 연구는 최근 우리사회에서 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있는 사회적 기업에 대한 연구동향을 살펴보고 향후 보다 실증적인 사회적 기업에 관한 연구를 위한 시사점을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 즉, 사회적 기업과 관련한 기존 연구들의 내용분석과 기술적 분석을 통해 한국 사회적 기업의 관심영역과 학문적 접근의 변화를 점검하고 사회적 기업과 관련하여 향후 지향해야 할 방향성에 대한 논의의 장의 마련과 함께 실증적 연구의 필요성을 제언하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 첫째, 2000년부터 2009년 8월 까지 10년 동안의 사회적 기업을 주제로 한 학위 논문 및 학술논문을 통해 연구동향에 관한 기술적 분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 연구물들의 주제분석을 통해 한국 사회적 기업 연구의 경향을 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과 다음과 같이 세 가지를 제언한다. 첫째, 그동안 사회복지학과 경영학 분야에 편중되어 진행된 사회적 기업 관련 연구들에서 향후 다양한 학문의 접근이 필요하며 이를 바탕으로 우리사회에서 사회적 기업의 위상정립과 지속가능성을 기반할 수 있는 이론 구축(theory-building)을 해야 한다. 둘째, 실증적인 연구를 통해 사회적 기업과 관련한 정책 및 실천에 근거를 마련하여야 한다. 셋째, 학문적 분야로서 사회적기업의 위상제고를 위해 전문화된 학술지의 확대육성과 현장을 연계한 실증 연구 및 기존 연구들의 후속적 연구가 활발히 진행되어야 한다. 현재 사회적 기업과 관련한 학술적 연구는 사회적 관심에 비해 미미한 수준이다. 따라서 향후 사회적 기업의 지속적 발전과 성장을 위해서는 다양한 연구주제의 이론적, 실증적 연구가 활발히 진행되어야 하며 이를 위한 학계 및 현장의 성찰이 필요하다.
This research study about social enterprises and social enterprises to examine trends and implications for research purposes is to offer. Third, specialized journal in conjunction with training and field research and demonstration of existing research continue to be actively husokjeok research. The future of social enterprise for sustainable development and growth of a variety of research on the subject of theoretical and empirical research must proceed actively in this field for academics and introspection is needed.
