The Education and pursuit of study of Deoggye's disciple in the middle time of Josen Dynasty

조선중기 덕계 오건이 생존했던 당시는 중종 16년에서 선조 7년에 걸친 시대적 상황이었다. 중종초의 정국은 공신중심의 통치체제가 유지되었고, 왕권의 약화라는 훈구세력의 견제를 위한 대응세력의 필요성에서 사림파의 재진출 기회가 열렸다. 중종 9년부터 사림파는 言官에 활발하게 진출하게 되었고, 이러한 인적 기반을 토대로 사림파의 이상정치를 실현하기 위한 개혁정치를 추진하게 되었다. 이러한 시대에 덕계는 정계에 진출하여 자신의 이상을 구현하고자 하였다. 덕계는 산음에서 남명으로부터 󰡔중용󰡕, 󰡔대학󰡕, 󰡔심경󰡕, 󰡔근사록󰡕 등을 배웠고, 궁리와 거경에 바탕한 덕계의 학문관에 입각한 교육은 남명으로부터 계승한 학습자의 개인차를 중시하는 교육과 자득을 강조하는 교육, 그리고 당시 성균관 학유시절에 행했던 교육으로 구체화되어 나타났다. 당시 그가 거주했던 산청, 한양, 성주지역 등지에서 교육 및 강학활동을 전개하였는데, 이른바 지곡사, 단속사, 남계서원이 대표적인 강학지였다. 덕계의 교육은 대체로 학습자의 개인차와 자득을 강조하는 교육, 유생의 4등급 분반 교육, 그리고 평생교육의 장으로서 강학활동의 의의를 찾아볼 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the significance of educational history in pursuit of Deoggye Oh-Geon(1521-1574)'s education and pursuit of study through the formation of his disciple' as seeing the time of 16-17C. This study investigated the formed background, and background of Deoggye's education. First, the background which Deoggye's education is formed expressed through the political situation, the trends of thoughts, the regional condition. The thought of Hsing-ri-hsuch(性理學) was in the process of development of the learning system Joseon Dynasty(朝鮮王朝) in Hsing-ri-hsuch from being accepted end in the Goryeo(高麗) and early in the Joseon to middle in the Joseon(朝鮮). And the Geographical, Environmental character of Gyeongsang right province(慶尙右道) had been a regional condition that the educational theory of Deoggye brought into distinctively relief. The pursuit of study of Deoggye's disciple was emphasized the importance of reading the Classical Canon(經書) like Gyeunsarok(近思錄), Seongriseo(性理書), Choorye(周禮), and the theme of emphasizes the natural greatness of a soul(浩然之氣), Myeongri(名理), mentality(心性), Shinmyeongsado(神明舍圖), Cheongyeunjeon(天君傳), Shimgyeong(心經), courtesy(禮), the study of collecting of GyengWi(敬義) etc. Usually, The Education and the pursuit of study was emphasized the education of self-study and individuality of his disciple's, education divided 4 class, and the significance in the field of life-long education in which the activity of the pursuit of study was proceded.
