Fröebel’s Spielgaben for the education activities and modern early childhood education

본 연구는 유아교육기관 현장에서 프뢰벨의 유아교육 사상의 결정체인 은물(Spielgaben)에 대한 총체적인 고찰 없이 영재교육이라는 미명하에 방법론적인 측면만 부각시켜 온 현대 프뢰벨 연구의 문제점을 지적하고, 이에 근거하여 프뢰벨 은물교육의 현대 유아교육적 의미를 탐색하는데 있다. 프뢰벨의 교육학에 있어 기저를 이루고 있는 신과 자연과 인간은 불가분의 관계에 놓여 있으며, 모든 그의 교육사상은 이에 근거한다. 기하학적인 놀이감인 은물과 작업(Occupation)은 만물에 공통된 신적인 법칙을 이해시키기 위한 것이며, 게다가 이 법칙은 수학적인 성질을 가지고 있어, 신을 알아 가는 우주의 형이상학적인 의미와의 연관으로 인도하는 수단이다. 특히, 유아는 발달특성상 추상적 개념을 이해하기 어렵기 때문에 은물을 가지고 생활 속의 놀이를 통해 수학적 엄밀성과 수리적 특성을 근원적 통일 속에서 인식 할 수 있다. 프뢰벨에 의하면 수리적․논리적 사고는 유아가 사물을 통해 ‘스스로’ 창조해 내는 다양한 ‘관계’에 의해서 구성되며, 또한 유아는 성인과 달리 예감에 의해 사물에 숨겨진 의미와 상징적인 전체적인 질서를 이해한다. 그러므로 유아가 은물과 작업에 대한 직관의 기회가 생활 속에서 보장되어, 자기동기화에 의한 미와 더불어 자유놀이에서 몰입행위가 될 때, 인간본질의 이성적 자아가 형성 될 것이다.

Fröebel filed a protest over the issue that they excessively gave salience to Spielgaben to be foundation of the childhood education's thought and distort it as if be a part of special education gifted. Frӧebel enlightened a human return to the god and nature. Also, he said the foundation of the childhood education is not separt thought action of God, nature and a human. He emphasized the core of the education's thought is to God. The purpose of Spielgaben's education is, geometrical toy or occupation must contribute initiative development of young children and they realize the god, the universe and themselves. It's the paly system of Spielgaben that they can recognize geometrical plane of an a course that children are able to understand the God through their play and work from self motivation. Children will find beauty and discipline in counter poise with mathematical pre cision and are to consider rationally while they play and work with Spielgaben. But he filed a protest over the issue at cross the of Spielgaben, most schools for the early childhood education had become much more commercialized in recent years for advancement in capitalistic economy. Therefor, we can keep the sancitity of children when the childhood education get back to the purpose of Fröebel' Spielgaben.
