미래의 학교교육을 위한 학제 개편 방향 탐색

An Inquiry on the Direction of School System Revision for Future Oriented School Education

본 연구의 목적은 미래사회에 요구되는 교육의 변화를 고려해 볼 때, 과연 현행 학교교육체제가 적합한지를 논의해 보고, 나아가 학교교육과 학제의 연관성을 살펴봄으로써 미래지향적인 학교교육을 위한 학제 개편 방향을 탐색하는데 있다. 현행 6-3-3-4제 체제를 유지하고 있는 학제와 10학년제의 국민공통기본교육으로 운영되는 교육과정과는 형식과 내용상의 불일치 현상으로 볼 수 있다. 학제개편의 핵심 논쟁이기도 한 학교급별 수업연한은 형식 논리에 의한 학교급간의 구분에서 비롯되어 진다. 따라서 미래형 학제개편은 학교급별에 의한 구분보다는 학년별 성취기준 도달 여부에 따라 자격이 부여되는 교육내용 중심의 학년제 학제개편을 고려해 볼 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to draw up a plan from the view of future oriented school education, considering educational change in the future society and exploring the suitability of current school system. The current 6-3-3-4 school system from primary to university level discords with national curriculum which organizes 10 academic years into National Common Basic Curriculum in terms of form and contents. The period of each school level, one of the main controversial issues on school system revision, is based on the school classification according to formal logic. Therefore, we need to consider the revision to curriculum based school system with students qualified by the results of their academic year achievements, rather than the formal classification of school levels.
