중학생의 자살생각과 공격성 및 귀인성향의 관계 분석

이 연구는 최근 들어서 심각한 사회문제로 대두되고 있는 청소년의 자살문제를 공격성과 귀인성향이라는 변인을 통해 실증적으로 규명해 보고자 한다. 자살생각에 영향을 주는 변인들은 개인과 환경에 따라서 많은 차이가 있겠으나 본 연구에서는 공격성과 귀인성향의 각 하위 변인들이 자살생각에 미치는 상대적인 영향은 어떠한지를 통계적 분석을 통하여 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과 자살생각과 공격성은 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타나 공격성이 클수록 자살생각이 증가하며, 공격성을 줄이는 것도 자살충동을 줄이는 하나의 방법이 될 수 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 공격성은 일반적인 자살요인에는 크게 포함되지 않는 것이어서 본 연구가 한층 더 의미있게 되었다. 이 결과는 학교에서 공격적이고 반항적인 학생들이 자살생각이 높게 나타날 수 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다. 자살생각과 귀인성향의 관계에서 자살생각과 내적 귀인성향과는 부적상관을, 외적 귀인성향과는 정적 상관을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 자살충동이 높을수록 외적 귀인을 더 많이 하는 것으로 자살생각의 원인을 다른 사람이나 운과 재수 등의 외부환경 탓으로 생각할수록 자살충동이 높아짐을 의미한다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 중학생의 자살예방을 위해서는 학생들이 긍정적인 자아개념을 형성할 수 있도록 지속적인 조력이 필요하며, 내적 귀인성향 함양을 위한 자살예방 교육을 저학년에서부터 체계적으로 실시하는 일이 무엇보다도 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

This study examines the recent serious social issue of teenage suicide. Also examined with this issue are the mental factors causing teenagers' suicides. Anger and aggression are identified and the locus of responsibility is identified as internal, therefore the considering of suicide is related to these two factors. Evidence also suggests that cice versa is true, these two factors can affect each other. For this research, a questionnaire which contains the questions about the impulse of killing themselves, aggression, and attribution are asked of 350 students who go to a co-ed school in the eastern part of ◯◯◯do province. The results and recommendation are as follows. The result shows that there is a meaningful difference between thinking about suicide and students school grades. It is significant to note that gender does not show a meaningful difference. The research clearly shows how well of how bad a student is performing in school directly correlates to a students' impulse towards suicide. The research also shows, suicide and aggression toward oneself has a positive relationship, therefore the factor which can make students think of suicide could be aggression. Generally, the levels of aggression were higher in the high group than in the low group in the levels of impulsivity. Also, Internalizing ones problems, that is taking things to heart, seems to have less impact than the outside factors such as being picked on or bullied as examples of aggression. The factors that can affect and impulse toward suicide are outside aggression and hostility.
