창의적 인성과 성취목표 동기와의 관계연구

The Relationship between creative persinality and motivation types of achievement goal

본 연구에서는 중·고등학생들의 창의적 인성과 성취 목표 동기와 관계를 알아보고 성취 목표 동기가 창의적 인성을 얼마나 설명하는가를 확인함으로써 중·고등학생의 창의성 교육에 있어 성취 목표 동기의 중요성을 인식하게 하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 창의적 인성을 측정하기 위하여 창의적 인성검사를 사용하였으며 성취 목표 동기 검사를 이용하여 동기유형을 측정하였다. 서울시내의 2개의 중학교와 고등학교의 중학생 262명, 고등학생 254명, 총 516명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 분석한 결과를 살펴보면, 창의적 인성 점수는 중학생이 고등학생보다 더 높게 나타났으며, 성취 목표 동기에서는 중·고등학생 간에 의미 있는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 인성과 성취 목표 동기유형과의 상관을 살펴보면 중학생의 경우 수행회피 동기를 제외한 다른 동기 유형들은 창의적 인성과 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며 숙달접근 동기 유형이 창의적 인성을 가장 의미있게 설명하였다. 고등학생의 경우 숙달접근 동기와 창의적 인성은 정적인 상관이 있고, 수행회피 동기와 창의적 인성은 부적상관을 보였다. 고등학생의 경우는 숙달접근, 수행접근 동기 순으로 창의적 인성을 의미있게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다.

The future society is forecasted to be a creativity society. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between creative personality and achievement goal motivation theory and to confirm the relative predictive power of motivation variables in predicting students' creativity. The instruments used in this study were 'Creative Personality Scale(Hah, 2001)' and '2x2 achievement goal orientation scale(Park · Lee, 2005)' Self-reported response data on these instruments from 616 middle and high school in Seoul were analyzed. The core of the new conceptualization lies in two dimentions of goal orientation: orienting content(mastery vs performance) and orienting attitude performance-approach, performance-avoidance were defined according to the new conceptualization. The results of this study were as follows; 1) there are significant mean difference in the creative personality but not in the taxonomy of achievement goal motivation between the middle and high school groups. 2) high school students with high creative personality have higher achievement goal motivation(mastery-approach, performance-approach) score significantly. And middle school students with high creative personality have higher achievement goal motivation(mastery-approach) score significantly. 3) mastery-approach is the best predictor of creative personality among the motivation types in middle school students. And mastery-approach, performance-avoidance, performance-approach are the best predictor of creativity among the motivation types in high school students. Creative researchers have generally agreed that motivation is more effective in creativity than any other reasons. The results of this study clearly supported revised view of achievement goal motivation. Therefore, this study suggests that the education of creative personality will be adapted by the sub area type of motivation.
