북한의 ‘어음론’ 연구[Ⅱ]

Phonetics and Phonology are in an incompatible and complementary relation. Therefore the two areas of study tend to be treated separately in general linguistics, and the tendency is common among linguistics in south Korea. In contrast, their north Korea counter-parts study them in an integrated framework under the name of `∂+mlon`. There efforts have been oritented toward elucidating the nationalistic characteristics of the phonemes of cultured Korean in order to practise Kim Il-Sung`s `Juchesasang`(ideology of self-reliance). As a result, they have reached a remarkable achievement in practical aspects rather than theoretical aspects of their pursuit.
