The functions of suffixes researched through the methods of morphological and syntatic analysis are: 1. they add meaning to their stems 2. they cause some change in the form of the stems 3. they cause some alteration in syntactic structures 4. they function as an element causing grammatical concord in the predicates 5. they make endocentric derivatives 6. they make exocentric derivatives. Of the above-mentioned functions, those common in subjects and predicates are the functions of adding meaning, morphological change, and making endocentric and exocentric derivatives; while the function of altering syntactic structures is much stronger in the suffixes affixed to predicates than in the suffixes affixed to subjects.
