퇴계와 다산의 심성론 비교

This study is focused on the relationship between. Toegyes Neo-Confucianism and Dasans Practical Learning. Especially in the sphere of moral self-cultivation the relationship keeps so much similarity. Dasans works as like Seo-am-gang-hak-gi, Do-san-sa-suk-lok, I-bal-ki-bal-byeon1,2 etc., succeeded to Toegyes viewpoint. Even though the concepts and theories of Neo-Confucianism used by Toegye were not accepted by Dasan, but Dasan recognized Toegyes idea of two ways to start ones feelings or emotions, that is I-bal and ki-bal. and accepted as his useful method to explain the appearances of ones mind. And Dasan admired Toegye and copied after him in his true heart. These facts told us that even though philosophically Dasans thoughts were different from Toegyes, but in the Confucian Way, Do(道), it is certain that Dasan succeeded to Toegye. From this inference, Toegyes learnig kept an important portion in Dasans Practical Learning, specially in the ideas of moral self cultivation. Now we can insist on a continuity of Confucian learning between Toegye and Dasan.
