The co-relations between mind learning and Confucian proprieties have been ignored in Korean studies, because most of scholars have been thinking that the subjects of Toegye`s mind learning are only related to the mind not to the body. They have not given no attention to find out the way to connect between the two and so in addition even on the Confucian proprieties as norms of Confucian cultures they could not find out the feasible way to connect. But this study regarded co-relations between mind learning and Confucian proprieties as objective norms and tried to catch Toegye`s evperiences from which his ideas of mind-body relations can be explained and his proposals for Confucian moral cultivation necessarily with Confucian proprieties can be understood. He constructed and completed his ideas of mind-body relations and his theories of moral cultivation and presented the constructed ideas and theories in his famous work, Ten Diagrams of Sage Learning(圣学十图). This study analyzed his ideas and theories especially form the viewpoints of cultural psychology and philosophy of language. With the ideas and viewpoints of cultural psychology and philosophy of language, the co-relations between mind and culture or mind and body can be explained more persuasively and clearly. And this study can make the styles of discussing about Toegye`s mind learning more various and give a wider vision of studying his mind learning. Finally this study can make a new beginning for the discussing which wisdom his mind learning can give to modern persons.
