A Study on Characteristics of and Directions for the Resort Complex Development

1.CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The primary purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics, current status, and problems of resort complex development in Korea and to present the directions for future development. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study was focused on diverse research methods including literature review case study, focus group interviews. The study also reviewed the characteristics and structure of successful cases of domestic resort complexes to provide appropriate models for resort complex development. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS In the results of this FGI, the development of a resort complex with various functions and facilities requires large scale investment and long-term planning which affect the physical shape and industrial structure of the local area where the leisure complex locates. 2.
