그림책을 활용한 문학활동이 동생에 대한 인식과 정서에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Picturebook–Based Literature Activities on Infant’s Recognition of Younger Brothers/Sisters and Emotional Intelligence : Focused on Two–Year Old Children

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 문학활동이 동생의 출생으로 인해 영아가 겪을 수 있는 심리적 위기를 완화시켜줄 수 있는지를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 대상은 만 2세 영아반 27명이었으며, 실험집단(13명)과 비교집단(14명)으로 나누어 12주 동안 15회에 걸쳐 문학활동을 실시하였다. 실험집단에게는 동생의 출생이나 동생과의 갈등 또는 문제 상황을 내용으로 하는 그림책을 읽어주고 추후 문학활동을 하였고, 비교집단에게는 생활주제와 관련한 그림책을 읽어주기만 하였다. 연구 결과, 그림책을 활용한 문학활동은 동생이 있는 만 2세반 영아의 동생에 대한 인식과 정서지능에 모두 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 만 2세반 영아를 대상으로 그림책을 활용한 문학활동이 동생이 있는 영․ 유아의 심리적 위기에 도움이 된다는 점을 처음으로 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This research was carried out to investigate if can relieve the psychological crisis that infants may experience after the birth of their younger sisters/brothers. The research subjects consisted of 27 two-year old infants and were divided into an experiment group of 13 children and a control group of 14 children. Fifteen literature activities were conducted over a period of 12 weeks. The infants in the experiment group were read the picturebooks dealing with the birth of younger brothers/sisters or the conflict with them and were given literature activities afterwards, while those in the control group were read only the picturebooks related to ordinary curricular. The experimental results showed that the proposed picturebook-based literature activities positively affect the two-year infants in terms of the recognition of younger brothers/sisters and emotional intelligence. The significance of this research is that this study is the first investigation to show the effects of the picturebook-based literature activities on the relief of the psychological crisis of young children having newly-born younger brothers/sisters.
