Hair Loss Prevention and Hair Growth Promotion by Herb Extracts which contain the Cultured Korean Wild Ginseng

To identify the effect of herb extracts which contain the cultured Korean Wild Ginseng on hair loss prevention and hair growth promotion, clinical tests to 34 partly baldheaded-persons, 28 men and 6 women, were conducted for 8 weeks Questionnaires to investigate the satisfaction by the treatment of herb extracts were also performed. The amount of hair loss after receiving herb extracts management for 8 weeks in the treatment group was decreased, while the number of hairs were increased from 106.7 to 121.4 hairs in 1㎠. It did not show the statical significance(p>0.05) On the other hand, the number of hairs in control group were decreased from 112.2 to 109.8 hairs in 1㎠. The average thickness of the hairs in the treatment group was 0.0592 mm, was significantly increased up to 0.0673 mm after 8 weeks(p<0.05) On the contrary to this, in the control group, the average thickness of the hairs was decreased from 0.0568 mm to 0.0529 mm. In questionnaire survey, 58.0% of the treatment group were highly satisfied with the treatment of herb extracts due to hair loss and hair growth.
