The purpose of this study was to examine potential effects of skin care on client's sense of self-efficacy and life satisfaction. To meet the goal, this study surveyed 217 clients (male and female) who lived in Daejeon metropolitan area and used skin care shop as of survey. As a result, this study could come to the following findings. It was found that clients with better skin health conditions felt significantly higher sense of self-efficacy than other skin care clients on a statistical basis. And clients who were more satisfied at their skin felt significantly higher sense of self-efficacy than other skin care clients on a statistical basis. Interestingly, it was found that clients who had better skin health conditions showed higher satisfaction at their life than other skin care clients on a statistical bases. And it was found that clients who took higher satisfaction in their own skin showed significantly higher satisfaction at their life than other skin care clients on a statistical basis. Summing up, it is concluded that skin care is positively effective in improving the sense of self efficacy and life satisfaction. Therefore, it is expected that skin care will be more recommended to meet psychologic or mental needs, as well as needs for appearance management
