Nail coloring is one of the process of the Manicure. The word, manicure derives from Latin, manus for "hand," and cura for "care" Manicure is the cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands and consists of filing, shaping of the free edge, cuticle treatments with massage and the application of polish which is called coloring. In this study, we investigate the effects of the pre-polish applied product which is used as nail treatment on nail damage in the coloring. We select base coat, ridge out and toughen up among the creative company's nail treatment products widely used in Korea. We observe the nail surface shape using SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) and chart the nail surface roughness per each product. In case of no application, Nail damage is rapidly increased with time. But using base coat, ridge out and toughen up, there are little surface shape changes. Nail damage gets rather worse than improved with time in case of using ridge out and toughen up.
