녹색성장을 위한 그린 IT 현황과 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

A Study on the Ulilization of Green IT for Green Growth in Korea

지구 온난화로 인한 국제적인 온실가스 감축 규제 및 각국의 환경규제 강화로 정부와 기업 모두 CO₂ 배출, 유해물질 제한 등의 환경 규제에 대한 논의가 확산되고 있다 이와 더불어 에너지 소비의 지속적 증가, 에너지·자원 가격의 급격한 상승으로 자원·에너지 효율성 제고 등이 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다 기후변화에 대응하기 위한 국내외적 관심이 고조되고 있는 상황에서 일반적으로 환경 친화적이라고 인식되어온 IT 부문 역시 환경 문제에 대해 적극적인 대응을 모색하고 있는데, 이러한 움직임은 그린 IT로 명명되고 있으며, 이를 통해 기후변화 대응과 고유가 극복이라는 두 가지 국가 현안을 동시에 해결할 수 있기를 기대하고 있다 본 연구의 목적은 그린 IT에 대한 개념 및 현황을 분석하고, 선진국의 그린 IT 동향을 살펴봄으로써 우리나라의 저탄소 녹색성장을 실현하기 위한 그린 IT 활성화 방안을 모색해 보고자 한다

While regulations on reduction of international green house gas and environment have been en-forced due to green house effect, most of governments and companies are discussing regulations on the emission of CO₂ and hazardous substances The continuous growth of energy consumption and sharp increase of natural resources" prices brought about enhancement of the efficiency of energy and resource utilization Under the circumstances of increasing concerns on climate changes in domestic and international arena, IT which was generally recognized with eco-friendly industry is seeking how to deal with en-vironmental problems Green IT, referred to environmentally sustainable computing or IT, is expected to provide some solutions on climate changes and high prices of oil The purpose of this study contributes to the activation of Green IT by examining and suggesting the ways to develop Green IT in Korea
