A Study on the Analysis of Usability of National Transportation Framework Data

National Framework Data is an important part of National Spatial Data Infrastructure. The usage level of the Framework Data in various applications is a good indicator of maturity of NSDI. Unfortunately, the use of the Framework Data has not been as high as it was expected. Therefore, there has been many efforts to increase the use of the Framework Data. This study is a part of this effort. The goal of this study is to provide policy suggestions on how to increase the use of the Framework Data, especially in Transportation field. To achieve this goal, this study examined the current usage patterns of the Transportation Framework Data through a survey of professional working in various transportation-related field. The analysis of survey result provides several important points for the future policy in designing and constructing next round of Transportation Framework Data.
