한국 교육행정학의 연구 동향 분석

Educational Administration Research in Korea: A Trend Analysis of The Journal of Educational Administration

본 연구는 연구의 목적, 연구주제, 연구방법 등 연구동향 분석의 기본적이고 핵심적인 기준을 중심으로 교육행정학 연구동향을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 1980년대, 1990년대, 2000년대의 3개의 시기로 분류하여 1) 연구목적별․시대별, 2) 연구주제별․시대별, 3) 연구방법별․시대별, 4) 연구주제별․연구방법별․시대별로 분석하는 틀을 구한하고, 이를 통해 「교육행정학연구」에 수록된 1983년 창간호 이후 2009년까지의 논문을 분석하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 한국의 교육행정학 연구는 이론의 소개, 이론의 개발 및 검증 등과 같은 이론적 연구보다는 실태분석이나 개선방안 제시 등과 같은 현실처방적이고 실천지향적인 연구가 압도적인 비중을 차지하고 있다. 둘째, 연구주제별 연구동향 분석의 결과 학교조직 및 경영 영역과 고등교육 영역이 가장 많았다. 셋째, 연구방법별 연구동향분석에서도 보았듯이 시기별로 점차 문헌고찰 연구방법의 비중이 줄고 양적연구의 비율이 높아졌다. 넷째, 1980년대 이후 지속적이고 점증적으로 연구주제와 연구방법이 다양화 및 세분화되고 있으며, 특히 연구주제에 따라 선호되는 연구방법이 차별화 되고 있다.

The study aims to analyze the trends of goal, theme and method in Korean educational administration research. The analysis of those three categories would give us an answer for the questions why, what, and how we have done studies in the field of educational administration. To examine the time trends in each category, we divided the study range into three periods: 1980s, 1990s and 2000s and then, we developed four matrices for the trend analysis: research goals by period, research themes by period, research methods by period, research themes and methods by period. The study results are as follows. First, the analysis of research goal revealed that the most of prior studies inclined toward practice oriented as well as issue analyzing research prescribing a remedy to a reality. Second, the analysis of research themes discovered that the two most interested themes were school organization and management, and higher education. Third, the analysis of research methods identified the increase in using quantitative research methods and the decrease in document analysis method. Lastly, research topics and methods have been gradually diversified and specialized since 1980s. The chosen research methods depending on topics have been differentiated.
