Kyung-rim Shin´s early poems unfold on the popular idea. After making his literary debut with the poem of “A Reed" he went back home. He spent wandering about for about ten years there, and then he returned to the literary world. His works after a poem of "the Winter Night" have characteristics of a strong air of realism. I got to know that Shin´s poems tend to stand up for realistic lyricism by reviewing the criticism of his poems after the restarting of his literary works. It is showed that Shin´s maiden poem “A Reed" after his literary debut is reflected on the reality of people's tragic life. The way of poetic development, which underlays the tendency of the poet's realistic populism and that of lyricism, imply his multi recognition of thing. As the latter period of his poetic life comes on, Shin's lyric characteristics is noticeably revealed. This is to do with the influence of Byung-san Min ‘a philosopher on the street'. I could see that Shin's wandering about, roaming, eccentricity, and journey have much in common with Chuang-tzu's free and easy wandering about. Shin´s recognition of things seems to be influenced by the philosophy from Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu that the one of great wisdom can see perfectly reasonable usual things. I made an effort to study on Shin´s poems' inclination to Chuang-tzu, Taoistic characteristics shown in the poems of latter period, and characteristics of realistic sarcasm noticeably appearing in the lyric tendency.
