21세기 사회변동과 한국 한문학 연구의 방향

Social Change in the Twenty-first Century and the Orientation of Korean Chinese Literature Research

본고는 21세기 사회변동에 따른 한국 한문학 연구의 방향을 모색하는 것이 목적이다. 먼저 21세기 사회변동에 따른 한국 한문학의 위상이 가변적이기는 하난 여전히 독립된 학문으로서 기능을 할 것인지 분석했다. 다음으로 인문학의 한 분야로서 한문학이 한문학 고유의 연구를 진행함과 동시에 다양한 인문학의 한문 텍스트에 대한 요구를 충족시키고, 전통문화의 다양한 해석에도 동참하는 일을 병행해야 한다고 주장했다. 세 번째 로 한국 한문학이 국제적으로 널리 연구되고 한문학자가 국제적인 문어인 한문에 대한 장악력을 이용하여 국제적 연구 활동을 하는 문제를 다루었다. 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 21세기 한국 한문학의 연구방향을 세 가지로 모색했다. 먼저 제도와 학문으로서 한문학 연구를 강화해야 한다는 점을 밝혔다. 신생 학문으로서 한국 한문학이 기초에 충실하고 필요한 연구자를 지속적으로 배출하는 것이 중요함을 역설했다. 다음으로 분과학문의 좁은 한계를 넘어 다양한 영역에 관심을 촉발할 것과 국제적 시야를 확보해야 함을 강조하였다.

This paper aims to search for the orientation of Korean Chinese Literature Research according to the social change in the Twenty-first Century. First of all, I analyze the function of Korean Chinese Literature as an independent academic department, though its status is flexible in changing environments. Secondly, I suggest that Korean Chinese Literature should satisfy the various demands for the texts in Chinese from the other areas of humanities as well as carry out its own research in Chinese literature, while participating in diverse interpretations of traditional culture. Thirdly, Korean Chinese Literature needs to promote the international research activities by using the ability of understanding materials in Chinese as one of international written language. Based on these arguments, I present the orientation of Korean Chinese Literature research in three parts. The first is that the research of Korean Chinese Literature as an academic system and learning should be more strengthened. The second is that the researchers who have a sufficient base for leading Korean Chinese Literature should be constantly produced. The third is that the research of Korean Chinese Literature should pay attentions to a variety of spheres over the narrow boundary of department learning and procure a global perspective.
