A Study on the Role of Officially Export Credit Agency under the WTO Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures

Under the WTO structure, government's specific supports for export firms come under prohibited subsidy. But, most of the OECD nations have been supported own export firms through Export Credit Arrangement which accepted as a exceptions to the rule in the WTO ASCM. The purpose of study was to study on the Export Credit Agency of major developed country. For the purpose of this study, Export Credit Agency of U.S.A., Japan, Canada, Germany used to analysis. Results indicated that Export Credit Agency of each country have been increased their services than former one. Especially, this agencies take a positive attitude for newly market like China, BRIC's. In conclusion, Korean Eximbank and KEIC which is Korean Export Credit Agency develop services more oriented-export firms and increase their fund for export firms which will advance to China, BRIC's market.
