경찰공무원의 피로가 직무태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on the Effects of Fatigue on Job Attitudes in Police Officers

최근의 치안환경은 범죄의 양적․질적 증가, 인적․물적 자원의 제한, 시민의 안전에 대한 욕구와 치안서비스에 대한 기대수준이 향상됨에 따라 경찰은 효과적이고 능동적으로 대처해기 위해 업무가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 피로에 지친 경찰공무원들에게 시민들에 대한 질 좋은 서비스를 기대하는 것은 어려울 것이며, 결국 시민들의 불만을 야기하게 될 뿐이다. 따라서 경찰공무원의 피로 문제를 보다 적극적으로 대처하고 부작용을 최소화하기 위해서는 보다 실증적이고 체계적인 연구가 필요하다고 본다. 따라서 이 연구는 경찰공무원의 피로 원인요인과 경찰공무원이 지각하는 피로도, 그리고 직무태도에 대한 영향관계을 규명함으로써, 경찰공무원의 삶의 질을 향상시키고 나아가 국민들에게 제공되는 치안서비스의 질을 향상시키는데 기여하고자 한다.

The fatigue of the police officers, such as the increase of demanded conditions, are increasing by the change of environment of inside and outside of the police. The fatigue is very critical problem among police officers along with the productivity because of newly required skill with a high intensity of work and complicated human relationship with a tough working environment. Police officers unable to solve the problem of fatigue created by their tasks has high possibility of jeopardizing their associates and citizens as well as themselves. Furthermore, fatigue can also have not good effects on police organization in various aspects. Accordingly, the problem of police officers's fatigue has significant meanings especially on effectiveness of the organization. So, this study is performed to provide implications for police officer' life quality grows by grasping not only influence that fatigue has on job attitudes, and whole relation among fatigue, the antecedents of fatigue and job attitudes that are consequences of fatigue.
