Today entertainer's death or suicide is a spectacle and commercial ritual by mass media. What is an identity of entertainer? Entertainer is a person who contemporary totem of mass. Original totem was a symbol of collective worship and tribal's unification. But today entertainer is a pseudo hero, totem, and spectacle image. An worship of entertainer by the mass is not entertainer's inner personality but media image. Entertainer's death(suicide) is the event of identity restoration as an individual. Simultaneously it is an ironical beginning of symbolic violence by the mass. The broadcasting of entertainer's death by mass media is not truly ritual mourning but the last commercial event. In fact, it is a squandering of entertainer's residual resources. Consequently the mourning by mass media and the mass is a commercial mechanism of forgetfulness.
