e-PBL에서 튜터의 수행 향상을 위한 스케폴딩 가이드라인 개발 연구

Developmental Study of a Scaffolding Guideline for Improving Tutor's Performance in e-PBL

웹환경의 장점을 활용하여 학습자의 문제해결력을 향상시키기 위한 교수방법으로 e-PBL이 주목받고 있다. e-PBL에서 학습자들은 문제를 해결하면서 다양한 어려움을 겪게 된다. 학습자의 어려움을 해결하기 위해 튜터가 학습자에게 제공하는 도움이 스캐폴딩(scaffolding)이다. 학습자가 성공적으로 문제를 해결하도록 하기 위해서 e-PBL 과정에서 학습자의 어려움을 파악하고 이에 적절한 스캐폴딩을 제공하는 일은 튜터의 중요한 역할 증 하나이다. 그러나 e-PBL에서 튜터 경험이 적은 초보자 튜터의 경우 학습자에게 적절한 스캐폴딩을 제공하는데 어려움을 겪게 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 문헌 분석 및 튜터 인터뷰를 통해 e-PBL에서 학습자들이 겪는 어려움을 범주화하고, 이러한 학습자의 어려움을 해결하기에 적절한 스캐폴팅 제공 전략 및 메시지 예를 포함한 가이드라인을 개발하고자 하였다. 개발된 스캐폴딩 가이드라인은 학습자 어려움, 스캐폴딩 유형, 스캐폴딩 전략 이렇게 써| 범주를 중심으로 구체적인 예시와 실제적인 실행전략이 포함되었다. 본 연구에서 재발된 스캐폴딩 가이드라인은 튜터의 수행 향상 및 학습자의 문제 해결력 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a scaffolding guideline for improving tutor's performance in e-PBL. In other to develop a scaffolding guideline, students' difficulties and scaffolding types according to each step of e-PBL phases were drawn out through the literature review and tutor interview. Scaffolding guideline consists of (1) student difficulties in e-PBL, (2) scaffolding types to decrease student's difficulties, (3) scaffolding strategy to provide learner with scaffoldings, and (4) specific message examples as a practical information. These were verified by ten experienced expert tutors and six novice tutors. Practical application of this guideline could be suggested for further investigation. This scaffolding guideline is expected to improve tutor's performance and make e-PBL successful.
