A Study on the Origin and Characteristics of Chadam in the Ancient Writings

The term is used routinely when we welcome guests. It is called ‘Chadam’, ‘Dadam’ or ‘Chadamsang’. The dictionary meaning “to entertain the guests anyway, such as tea and fruit” is called. Chadam refers to the use of terminology is the same chadamsang. The purpose for this study are as follows. First, the correct name and the origin of ‘chadam’ was not clearly revealed. Second, it were presented research around the kind of chadam food and chadam bowls that it registered with『Uigwe』. However, it did not study of the type of chadam and purpose of it’s practicing, it’s place, and characteristics of chadam. It look at『Annals』and『Binryechongram』in order to resolve, and officials of the individual created their personal miscellany. This research was to become the data on which to collect and analyze chadam the tea-researcher wishes to make it clear. It is chadam that entertain for important guests. It is a kind of table for a snack. The terminology is irrelevant regardless of the word ‘tea’. In addition, it is separate from ‘dadam’ and ‘chatsang’.
