The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects on attention among elementary students before and after the execution of a educational program concerning tea life. The subjects of this study were 58 students in the first grade at a elementary school(29 students each for the experiment group and the control group). The major results of this study are as follows: It was shown that there is no signigicant difference in the attention between the experimental group and control group in the pre-test, but after carrying out the educational program, it was indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in the post-test. On the basis of the result as above, the following suggestion can be given on the direction of tea life education that can improve the attention of students in the elementary school. First, the aim of tea life education is important for elementary students in that it helps them to carefully handle the tea utensils and helps them to have the habit of arrange things while they are taking a cup of tea in their classroom. Second, in respect of the contents of tea life education, the areas of theory, practice and application should be established in a harmonious and balanced way. Third, in respect of the way of tea life education, depending on the contents of education, the presentation, appreciation, observation and practical training should be considered important, in addition to the lecture. Fourth, in order to include the tea life education in the course of study in school, it is necessary to review over a plan to operate it either in the class of discretionary activities or in the class of special activities. Fifth, in order for a teacher to be equipped with the capability to perform tea life education, an understanding should be made about the necessity for education.
