Most Korean language teachers do not realize what their learners do not know aoout their target language grammar and so have difficulty selecting pedagogical grammar items. In this instance, an analysis of learner languages can help in finding out what needs to be taught. According to contrastive-analysis hypothesis, the errors of foreign Ianguage learners are derived from properties of their mother languages which are very different from the target language. But in this study, I maintain that most learner errors are ca떠ed by misunderstanding of Korean grammar, improperly oriented pedagogy and unpolished teaching methods by langl니age teachers. This study presents concrete pedagogical KFL grammar items for KFL learners from an investigation and interpretation of four general errors produced by KFL learners.
