Condition, Perception and Management of Hair and Diffuse Hair Loss on Adult Male

This study was performed to reveal the correlation between the general characteristics and the related perception and the degree of management on hair, scalp and hair loss with the adult male. The subjects were 212 cases and the survey was conducted from November 2008 to December. As for general characteristics, the conditions of scalp and hair are not good as those of higher educated levels, more than 4000,000 won earnings a month, worse health conditions and more severe stress. On the factors of general characteristics affected the perception of scalp, hair and hair loss, the degree of the perception is the highest in the educated level of graduated school(3.21point), the bad conditions of scalp and hair(2.95, 2.93point). On the other hand, those with no dandruff(2.79point), no hair loss(2.81point) and proper thick hair(2.59point) have higher perception of scalp and hair compared with those with. On the factors of general characteristics affected the management of scalp, hair and hair loss, the average(2.17 points) means adult male don't take good care of the management. The management of scalp, hair and losing hair showed the high point in proportion to the educated levels and the earning. As a result, we found that some general characteristics of adult male affected condition, perception and management of scalp, hair and hair loss. So we need to understand the severe situations of the related problems of hair for adult male, and try to be established the public and educational policy to improve the quality of life in adult male.
