오스트리아-헝가리 이중 제국 수립과 크로아티아 민족주의 : 1867-1878

The Establishment of Austria-Hungary Empire and the Croatian Nationalism

본 글에서는 합스부르크 제국이 프로이센에게 패한 이후 수립된 오스트리아-헝가리 이중 제국 시기 중 제국이 수립된 직후인 1867년부터 오스트리아의 보스니아 장악이 결정된 1878년 베를린 조약때까지의 시기를 중심으로, 당시 크로아티아의 역사적 상황과 그 의미를 연구하고자 했다. 이를 통해 이중 제국 지배 하에서 크로아티아인들의 반(反)헝가리 저항운동은 어떠했는지 그리고 이 시기 크로아티아 민족의식은 어떻게 확대되고, 어떠한 양태로 변화, 발전해 나가게 되었는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 글의 구성을 보면 우선 제 2장에서는 1867년 이중 제국이 새롭게 수립됨에 따라 다시 헝가리의 지배 하로 들어가게 된 크로아티아의 상황과 크로아티아인들의 반(反)헝가리 저항 운동을 살펴보고자 했으며, 제 3장에서는 헝가리의 지배 하에서 크로아티아 민족의식의 확대 과정과 이 시기 사회, 문화적 발전 양상에 대해 연구하고자 했 다. 제 4장에서는 1878년 베를린 조약에 따라 보스니아로의 오스트리아의 영향력 확대가 가시화 되었을 때, 이에 대한 크로아티아인들의 반응과 민족주의 형태에 대해 살펴보고자 했으며, 마지막으로 결론에서는 앞서 내용을 다시 한 번 되짚어보고, 당시의 역사적 배경이 크로아티아의 민족의식과 민족주의 발전에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지를 분석하고자 했다.

In this paper, I analyze about the historical situation of Croatia and it's means, especially with focused on the Croatia from 1867, established the Austria-Hungary empire after that the Hapsburg empire was defeated in a war with the Prussia, to 1878, concluded 'the treaty of Berlin' after the war between the Russia and Ottoman Turkey. And I study, during that's time, how Croatia resisted the national policy of Hungary, and developed the one's national identity. In the chapter II, I analyze the situation of Croatia and the resistance to the Hungarian control over the Croatia after the establishment of Austria-Hungary empire in 1876. In the chapter III, I study the developed process of national identity of Croatia, and main social and cultural characteristic under the Hungary, especially focused on from 1876 to 1877. In the Chapter IV, I analyze, started the expansion of influence of Austria in Bosnia(1878), how was the response of Croatia and the shape of nationalism. Finally, in the chapter V, I summarize once more how much had an effect the establishment of Austria-Hungary empire in South Slav, especially in Croatia, and which meaning have this study in study about history of the Balkan.
