A Study on the folk Beliefs Presented in the Hungarian Traditional Folk Customs

헝가리 민족의 전통 민간 축제에 나타난 민간 신앙적 요소를 대상으로 하며 본 연구는 행하였다. 헝가리의 민간 축제를 헝가리 민속 전문 학자들의 연구 내용을 근간으로 하여 새로운 시각에서 즉 한국인으로서 내재되어있는 우리 전통 아시아 문화 의식을 바탕으로 하여 민간 신앙적 관점에서 조망하고 해석해 보는 것이 이 논문의 근본 목적인 것이다. 계절의 변화에 따른 민간 축제를 주 연구 대상으로 하여 경제활동에 따른 추수 축제도 포함하여 조사해 헝가리 민족의 여가 문화 연구 작업의 한 일환으로 이를 수행한 것이다 . 첫 단계로 헝가리의 전통 민간 축제를 전체적으로 조망하여 민간 신앙적 특징을 개괄하여 보았다. 헝가리 전통 민간 축제는 당연히 그 지정학적 위치와 기독교 문화권으로의 귀속성에 따라 기독교적 성격이 전면에 강하게 나타나고 있지만 개별 축제 속에는 여러 형태의 민간 신앙적 요소들이 다양하게 함유되어 있는 것을 발견할 수 있었으며， 이 요소들을 유형화하여 민간 신앙적 특정으로 도출해본 것이다. 다음 단계로는 계절별 축제를 구분지어 좀 더 구체적으로 살펴보는 과정이며， 이 때 각 축제의 전 과정과 풍습들을 모두 조i-}하는 것은 너무나 방대하고 또 본 논문작성의 목적에 합당하지 않으므로 개별 민간 축제에 깃들여져 있는 민간 신앙적 요소들을 추출해내고 조사하였으며， 특히 겨울 축제로는 성탄절，신년，사육제를 봄 축제는 부활절과 성령강림절을 여름과 가을 축제로는 성 이반요한 축일과 추수 축제를 중심으로 조사를 행하였다.

This study is about folk beliefs presented in Hungarian traditional folk customs. The objective is to take a view and analyze Hungarian traditional folk customs from a folk religious point of view based on Asian cultural knowledge that is inherent in Korean people, with reference to the research of experts on the field. This is a part of the research on Hungarian leisure culture, whose main subject is folk customs with the turning of the season, including Thanksgiving Day. First, we take a view of Hungarian traditional folk customs in general and summarize folk religious features. Even though Hungarian traditional folk customs seem to be christian because of the geopolitical location and influence by christian cultural area, each of the customs has various types of folk religious elements. This thesis divides these elements into several types and draws a certain characteristic of folk beliefs. Next, we’re supposed to classify and examine seasonal customs in detail. It is too vast to investigate all the process and customs and it is also not suited to the purpose of this thesis. Thus, all we do is extract folk religious elements from each custom and the list of the customs studied is as follows: Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Carnival for winter, Easter, and Whitsun for spring, The Lighting of St. Iva’s Fire for summer, and Harvest celebrations for fall
