지적장애 아동의 인지 기능 향상을 위한 소프트웨어의 개발

Development and Application of the Computerized Cognitive trainig Program for the Chilidren with Intellectual Disabilities

본 연구는 지적장애 아동들의 주된 약점가운데 하나인 기초적인 인지 기능을 훈련시킬 수 있는 컴퓨터 기반의 타당한 인지 훈련 프로그램을 개발하고 그 질적 수준을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 프로그램을 개발하기 위해 기존에 개발된 효과성이 입증된 북미와 유럽의 인지 훈련 소프트웨어들의 내용과 기능을 분석하였고, 교육용 콘텐츠 표준개발방법론을 적용하였다. 개발된 인지 훈련 소프트웨어는 시지각 반을 및 변별, 시각·운동 기술, 주의 지속력, 선택적 주의 집중과 같은 인지기능의 하위 단계들을 훈련하기 14개 과제들과 학습자 관리, 난이도 설정, 학습결과 기록 및 출력 등의 기능으로 구성되었다. 개발된 프로그램은 특수교육용 소프트웨어 평가도구를 그 내용과 기능의 질을 검증하였는데, 공학적 적합성과 장애특성 반영 부분에서 질적으로 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of the study is to develop computerized software program for cognitive training and identify it's approprateness for enhancing performance in basic cognitive task,such as visual reponse, perceptual discrimination, sustained attention, and selective attention of chidren with mental retardation. The application program has many appropriate feature such as presentation and interaction with multimedia objets, management of individual user profile, measuring, recording and reporting user performance data in many individaul conginitive task, and setting training condition, mode of stimuli, and task complexity with many parameters. Quality evaluation was performed by spcecial teacher and congnitive therapist after they used it during four weeks. Quality evaluation tool is made by revising quality evaluation guideline frome study by Kim Yong Wook et al(2008). From this study, the resluts are as follows. First, thie computerized application software has appropriate contens and function required in using as teaching tools for training basic cognitive students with mental retardation. Sceondly, this program has clinical usefulness and usability in cognitive traing session in special school, resource room and hospital etc.
