전통 도덕교과서와 현대 도덕교과서의 비교 연구

Comparison of the Traditional Moral Textbook with the Current Moral Textbook

현대사회가 갈수록 비인간화 되어감에 따라 도덕교육의 중요성이 그 어느 때보다 커져가고 있다. 하지만 사회에서 도덕윤리의 중요성은 경제논리에 밀려 공허한 메아리가 되기 쉽다. 따라서 학교 내 도덕교육에 더욱 고민해야 한다. 특히 학교 도덕교육에서 교사와 학생을 이어주는 교과서는 그 구성 체계와 내용에 따라 미치는 영향력이 달라지므로 매우 중요하게 취급되어야 한다. 그러나 오늘날 도덕교과서는 서구적 교육이론에 토대를 둔 편향적 입장을 취하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 반성에서 본 논문은 우리의 전통 도덕교과서에서 오늘날 도덕교과서를 보완할 시사점을 얻고자 했다. 특히 조선 건국시기에서부터 주기적으로 간행되어온 행실도류를 전통 도덕교과서로 삼아 이것의 내용과 구성 체계를 6차, 7차 교육과정 도덕교과서와 비교함으로써 그 의미를 찾고자 했다.

As our modern society is getting immoral, the moral education is more important than ever before. However, any emphasis on moral education, which has been relegated to the second place behind the economical concerns, falls on deaf ears. Therefore moral education within the school curriculum must become a priority. The Moral textbook in school, which can be a way to connect the teachers with students, should be managed very seriously as its contents and systematic organization are a great influence on the students' education. Nevertheless, the current Moral textbook produces a tendency toward the an ideologically biased western education. Reflecting on our situation, this study will suggest that a new direction is needed to counter the weak points in the Current textbook from our traditional Moral textbook. Particularly it is to identify the purpose by comparing the contents and systematic organization of the current Moral textbook in the 6th and 7th curriculum with those of Paintings of admonition periodically published from Chosun Dynasty which has been taken to be the traditional Moral textbook.
