문제중심학습(PBL)을 기반으로 한 미술과와 타 교과의 통합 교육 방안 연구

A Study on Plans for Integrated Education between Art and Other Subjects based on Problem Based Learning(PBL)

오늘날의 미술교육은 정보 통신 기술의 발달에서 비롯된 새로운 시각 문화 환경을 바탕으로 하고, 다른 한편으로는 다양한 문화의 수용을 요구받아 다문화 교육을 지향하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 변화를 바탕으로 미술교육에서도 포스트모더니즘을 그 사상적 배경으로 하고 있는데, 포스트모더니즘을 구현할 수 있는 교육방법으로 구성주의 학습방법 중의 하나인 문제중심학습이 주목을 받고 있다. 문제중심학습이란 ‘문제(Problem)’를 제시하여 그것의 해결을 통해 학습이 이루어지도록 하는 교수법으로서 문제를 해결하는 과정에 다른 교과와 통합한 교육 방법이 요구되게 된다. 이 글에서는 위와 같은 미술과의 상황을 고려하여 문제중심학습을 기반으로 한 미술과와 타 교과의 통합교육 방안을 미술과와 사회과를 통해 제안하고자 한다.

Today's art education seeks out multicultural education, being based on a new visual cultural environment created by the advances in information technology and receiving demands for the acceptance of diverse cultures. Responding to those social changes, art education finds its ideological backgrounds in postmodernism. In recent years, problem-based learning, one of the learning methods of constructivism, has attracted attention as an educational method to implement postmodernism. Problem-based learning is a teaching method to present a problem to the students and help them learn by solving the problem. It requires an educational method to integrate with other subjects in the process of problem solving. This study set out to suggest plans for integrated education between art and other subjects, to be specifically social studies, based on problem-based learning by considering those situations around the art subject.
