A Study on the Restoration of the Morality in Korea

본 논문은 한국사회의 도덕성 회복을 위한 전체적인 구도를 모색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 도덕문제의 이론적 쟁점과 도덕 이론의 구조와 그 평가에 관한 논의를 하였다. 다음으로 한국사회의 도덕적 현실의 특성을 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 도덕성 함양방안을 개인 윤리적 차원, 사회 윤리적 차원, 사회 운동적 차원으로 나누어 그 방향을 제시하였다.

The aim of this article is to search the whole composition for restoration of the morality in Korea. In this context, I study the theoretical issue and the structure of moral problems, and next the evaluations for them, Then the moral situation in Korean society was explored in three ways: personal ethical dimension, social ethical dimension and social movement dimension. In contemporary society, the morality is very compound and dynamic issue. So, in order to judge the ehtical problem authentially, it is necessary to cultivate the insight into the moral crisis with the social organic context. And it is necessary, also, to consider problem on the quality of life. With regard to the modern ethical problems, we must carefully consider 'future coming age', without remaining 'now we'. And we must consider the "interrelation between the human being and the nature', without remaining 'human-centrism'. The essentiality of the 'cognitive ethics' and the cooperative ethics' was considered. also. In overcoming the ethical crisis, merely normal thoughtway or unrelevant abstract theory is insufficient. So, in modern Korean society, the goodwill and the multi-interdisciplinary ability are necessary to practice moral activity. This article is a mere compass. It is the criteria of methods for restoring the morality. The next theme is how to prepare the concrete and actural method and strategy.
