도덕판단과 규범위반 행동과의 관계

The Relationship Between Moral Judgment and Norm Transgression.

본 연구에서는 대학생들을 대상으로 그들의 도덕적 판단과 일상적 규범의 위반 행동은 관계가 있는가를 알아보고자 한다. 즉 본 연구의 연구 문제는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 여대생들의 도덕 판단 점수는 어떠한가? 둘째, 여대생들은 얼마나 캠퍼스내에서 규범을 위반하는가? 셋째, 도덕 판단과 규범의 위반 행동간에는 상관이 있는가?

The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between moral judgment and moral behavior. Specifically, the level of moral judgment was measured by Rest's D.I.T.(Defining Issue Test) and moral behavior by the norm transgression in daily life questionare made by the author. The subjects were 120 female college students taking a general course in parent education. The data was analized in frequency and in Pearson's coefficient correlation. The results showed; 1) The moral judgment score in D.I.T. P and D index among female college students was 40.90(SD=16.45) and 20.00(SD=3.11) respectively. 2) The level of moral judgment tended to be positively correlated to moral behavior. However, the relationship between moral judgment and moral behavior in P index was not statistically significant whereas that in D index was significantly correlated to moral behavior. In short the higher the subject's D index the less frequently the subject's committed norm transgression. Reviewing both the theoretical and emperical studies on the relationship between moral judgment and behavior, some suggestion were made regarding moral education. That is to say the author argued that a comprehensive moral theory should emerge in terms of the gap between the moral judgment and moral behavior of individuals. The author also proposed that moral development was lifelong task for individuals and college students should have several experience to enhance their moral judgment level through independent activities such as MT(membership training) and small group discussions at the Guidance Centers on campuses. The social atmosphere on campus was also discussed as an important componenent of moral development.
