There are several progressing Immersion Programs for Korean EFL learners focusing on the development of communicative competence (Hymes, 1971), the ability to use language appropriately in the real situation, while Korean learners struggle with the problems of application of English to both academic and practical area because of a lack of competence. The mismatched evaluation of education and application leads to the alternative teaching and learning methodology in order to acquire both Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency and Basic Interpersonal Conversation Skills(Cummins, 1991). This study concerns the practice and effect of one undergoing the English language learning program, Dual Degree Program, which is providing two bachelor's degrees in the USA and Korea. Thus the program is conducted by English meditated classes and an environment with native speakers for a consecutive period. The goal of program focuses on the academic contents as well as communicative one. Therefore the study introduces the program which expecting the result that Korean university students can reach the English competence at the college academic level like native university students.
