여성의 평생교육 기회평등화 방향

Providing Women with Equal Opportunity of Lifelong Education

본 연구는 현재 수행되고 있는 여성을 위한 평생교육 부문에 관한 국내외 현황 및 정책동향을 살펴봄으로써 우리나라 여성을 위한 평생교유긔 실현이 현재까지 어느 정도 진행되었는가를 알아보고 이를 토대로 앞으로의 방향 및 과제에 대해 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

For the purpose of assessing the present status of a lifelong education programs in Korea, a thorough review of the programs in operation and the trends of the public policies in that area has been performed. On the basis of the study, following suggestions are made in order to improve such programs and to bring about the social changes from the perspectives of achieving the equality of sex : First, sexual prejudice and the general tendencies of sexual segregation need to be eliminated ; Second, social networks such as placement programs for the graduates of the lifelong education programs should be developed ; Third, measures to alleviate the plight of motherhood related to pregnancy, parturition and child rearing should be taken along with the expansion of the opportunities for their social participations ; Fourth, the awareness education on sexual equality should be undertaken through versatile programs in various areas such as families, schools and public agencies, all of which should be tide together as a systematic network ; Fifth, cultivation of positiveattitudes towards women among the male population is essential for the elevation of the status of women to the main stream of the society affording them the privilege of equal rights.
