본 논문은 제7차 선택중심 교육과정 편성 과정에서 각급학교간의 연계교육과정의 운영방향에 대하여 살펴보았다. 각급학교, 대학간 연계교육과정 네트워크를 형성하여 교육과정을 운영한다면 좀 더 다양하고 세분화된 기초 분야에 고등학교 학생들이 학문적 호기심을 가지고 접근할 수 있을 것이다.

we are going into the entirely different age from before in educational system very swiftly, through the present educational system has contributed to bringing up human power needed and suited for industrial society. From now on, the future of a country will rest on the capacity that educational system can lead and prepare next generation for the coming days. Before planning educational system, we should grasp the traits of school and school system to properly prepare students for a knowledge-based society. Up to now, we have confined students to enter school, complete the given curriculum, attend school during the given period, be promoted to the next school year automatically without a particular point, be graduated. In the knowledge-based society, we should consider students in the entirely different context from before. The learner-centered education means that of responding to the demand of learners being educated, not that of responding to the order of learners reluctantly. In the above sentence, the 'demand' is anything to be demanded and satisfied by learners objectively, not subjectively. As you know the present condition of organization of the 7th elective-centered curriculum, high schools don't establish all the courses that students and their parents hope to complete. Therefore, we suggest that various courses or subjects should be set up through the operation of the linked curriculum between high schools and colleges(universities). Through the operation of the linked curriculum, we will be able to solve part of problems which derive from the restricted present condition in each school. In the future, education policy is to enlarge the autonomy of organizing curriculum in each school and freely selecting courses or subjects by learners properly and gradually according to the intent of the 7th curriculum. In order to do this, we should search for various methods including the adjustment of demand and supply of the restricted teachers, improvement of facilities in each school, methods of electing teachers and students, the limited license for teaching in the high school, the linked curriculum between school and colleges(universities), etc.
