지역사회 연계 교육과정 재구성 사례연구

이 연구는 지역사회 연계 교육과정 재구성 방안을 탐색하고자 한다. 종래 학교 교육과정은 국가에서 정해주는 기준 준수여부에 성패가 달려있었지만 향후 교육과정의 변화 추세는 단위학교가 학교와 지역사회의 실정에 맞게 자율적으로 편성․운영하는 재량이 증대되고 있다는 점에 주목할 필요가 있다. 학교 교육과정은 지역사회에 대한 이해를 토대로 공간적으로 확장되어간다. 따라서 지역사회의 여러 가지 인문적 내지 자연적 현상들이 학교 교육과정 속에서 체계적으로 조직되고 지도되는 것은 대단히 중요한 일이다. 이 연구는 교육과정 운영의 특례가 비교적 잘 보장되어 있는 대안교육 특성화고등학교의 사례를 통해서 지역사회 연계 교육과정 재구성 방안을 다각도로 구상하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위해서 전국에 산재해 있는 대안학교에 대한 전화 면접을 통해 지역사회 연계 교육과정 운영 실태를 조사하고 그 중에서 지역사회 연계 프로그램이 가장 두드러지다고 판단되는Y고등학교를 심층조사 대상학교로 선정하였다.Y고등학교의 사례를 통해서 지역사회 연계 교육과정 재구성의 문제점과 실천 대안을 모색하였다. 이 연구에서는 학교 교육과정의 영역 속에서 지역사회 관련 내용이 적절하게 용해되어서 학생들에게 가르치는 것은 물론 지역사회의 다양한 자원들을 학교 교육과정 운영에 활용할수 있는 가능성도 발견하였다. 이 연구는 학교가 지역과 유리된 별개의 존재가 아니라 지역과의 소통을 통해서 교육의 질을 높여 나가는 가능성의 모색에 초점을 두고 있다. 앞으로 대안학교 뿐 아니라 일반학교에서도 단위 학교 중심의 만들어가는 교육과정 운영이 더 강조되고 있는 추세를 감안 할 때 지역사회 연계 교육과정 재구성 방안의 탐색은 대단히 중요한 의의를 가지고 있다고 본다.

The purpose of the study is designed to find a integration methods of curriculum connected with community. To achieve research purposes were used to literature study and call on interview to explore issue of integration in the curriculum. And then selected Y high school named alternative schools as case study of its. The present curriculum in specialized high school system is organized and managed by the consultation between the municipal or provincial boards of education with each school. The characteristics of curriculum in the alternative schools are to pursue unified educational process without dividing work and play. They pursuit integrated curriculum in which work and play are not distinguished and intend to educate real life. Emotion and sociality is more important than knowledge. In conclusion, the centralized curriculum needs to be re-developed appropriately for the needs of community, the cultures of school, and the students' traits. To achieve this purpose, the right to develop the curriculum should be given to the persons influenced by the curriculum. In particular, for the teachers to be creative and autonomous in curriculum development, the system of the centralized curriculum development should be changed into that of the localized curriculum development.
