<아름다운 성> 프로젝트 학습을 통한 초등학교 고학년 학생의 성의식 함양

Developing a sexual consciousness of higher grade of elementary school students using sex education project approach applied to the cycles of symbolization

본 연구의 목적은 <아름다운 성>을 주제로 한 레지오 에밀리아식 프로젝트 접근법 을 실시함으로써 초등학교 고학년 학생들의 성의식의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하는것이다. 그렇게 함으로써 초등교육현장에서 교사들이 실제 적용할 수 있는 성교육 방법을 제시하고 궁극적으로 학생들이 성에 대한 올바른 지식과 긍정적인 태도를 형성하여 올바른 성적 가치관을 갖게 하는 데 도움을 주고자 한다.본 연구의 방법은 문화 기술적인 연구이다.본 연구는 대구광역시 소재의 J초등학교 6학년 1개 학급 33명을 대상으로 2008년 6월부터 2008년 10월까지 실행하였다. 프로젝트 활동 과정에서 참여 관찰, 면담, 사진, 일기, 녹취, 교사 일지,설문지,활동결과물 등을 통하여6학년 학생의 성의식 함양과 관련된 변화 과정의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였으며 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성교육 프로젝트 학습이 진행됨에 따라 성에 대한 적극적이고 자발적인 학습태도가 형성 되었다. 둘째, 성교육 프로젝트 학습이 진행됨에 따라 성지식이 심화 확대 되었다. 셋째, 성교육 프로젝트 학습이 진행됨에 따라 바람직한 성적 가치관이 형성되었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 상징화 주기를 활용한 성교육 프로젝트 학습이 초등학교 고학년 학생의 성의식을 함양하는데 매우 긍정적인 효과가 있는 교수&#8228;학습 방법임을 증명 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to observe what influences have on developing a sexual consciousness of the 6 grades of elementary school students by carrying out a sex education applied to the cycle of symbolization which is one of the Reggio Emillia Approaches. An additional purpose of this study is to propose a practically applicable sex education method to active teachers. And the ultimate purpose of this study is to give aid adolescent students to have the right sexual values from the formation of an affirmative attitude and the right knowledge of sex. The method of this study is Ethonography. It was carried out as the target of 33 students, one of the sixth grade classes of the J elementary school in Daegu from June, 2008 to October, 2008. The data of the change process related to the cultivation of sex consciousness of adolescent students were collected and analyzed from participation observations, interviews, photographs, diaries, recordings, teacher's diary, questionnaires, activity results, etc. during the project activity process. The results of this study are as follows. First, the sex eduction project activity using the cycle of symbolization was effective to not only extend a spontaneous studying desire about sex but also change studying attitude actively. Second, the sex eduction project activity using the cycle of symbolization was effective to extend the common sense in sex and the recognition of the concept of sex. Third, the sex eduction project activity using the cycle of symbolization was effective to form a right sexual attitude by considering sex as natural and forming an standard intrinsic value of sexual behaviors. In conclusion, in this study, the sex education project activity is a very effective teaching-studying method. And it is very affirmatively effective to develop a sex consciousness of the higher grades of elementary school students.
