말더듬 지각검사(PSI)의 국내적용을 위한 예비연구

말더듬인의 내적 특성에 대한 검사들 중 말더듬 지각검사(PSI)는 말더듬인이 말더듬 순간과 말더듬 이차 행동에 대한 지각 수준을 파악하는 검사도구이다. 말더듬인의 지각특성을 측정할 수 있는 유용한 검사도구이나, 문항에 대한 별다른 검증 절차가 없었다. 본 연구는 말더듬 지각검사(PSI)를 국내에서 말더듬인에게 적용할 때 그 문항들이 적절한지, 구성은 어떠한지를 알아보기 위한 목적으로 발달성 말더듬 성인 36명(남 32명, 여 4명)을 대상으로 말더듬 지각검사를 실시하였다. 연구자들의 문항내용검토 결과 회피의 60번, 예기의 2, 32, 53번, 투쟁의 30번 문항이 내용상 부적절하였고, 문항 반응 분석결과 40번(예기)과 26번(투쟁)이 반응률이 낮았다. 문항-총점 간 상관분석 결과 2번(예기), 17번(투쟁)이 변별력이 없었다. 전체적으로 회피의 1문항, 예기와 투쟁의 3문항의 수정이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 말더듬 지각검사의 하위 영역의 구성에 대한 요인분석을 실시한 결과 회피는 5요인, 예기와 투쟁은 6요인으로 구성되어 비교적 높은 설명력을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 문항들의 수정과 더 많은 자료의 수집을 통해 말더듬인의 이차행동 특성을 잘 검사할 수 있는 도구의 개발과 정착이 이루어져야겠다.

The Perceptions of Stuttering Inventory (PSI) is one of the assessment methods on the internal characteristics of people who stutter. It is a useful assessment tool to evaluate perceptions of stuttering and secondary behaviors, but has not been tested in Korea. In this paper, we will attempt to investigate that the PSI is available for Korean stutterers. The PSI was administrated to 36 persons who stutter (32 males, 4 females). Based on an item content analysis of the PSI, item 60 in avoidance, item 2, 32, 53 in expectancy, and item 30 in struggle were inappropriate. The result of the item response analysis was that response rate of item 40 (expectancy) and item 26 (struggle) were less than 10%. On item-total correlation analysis, item 2 (expectancy) and item 17 (struggle) showed low correlation. As a result of factor analysis, we extract 5 factors from avoidance of the PSI, and 6 factors from expectancy and struggle of the PSI, respectively. Consequently, in order to use the PSI in Korea, it is necessary that we modify and develope some items and standardize a Korean version of the PSI.
