智果 『心成頌』 小考

Study on the SimSungSong of ZhiGuo

『心成頌』은 4언 위주의 운문인 頌을 중심으로, 서예의 결구를 여덟 쌍의 모순, 즉 열여섯 조항으로 개괄하고, 장법에 관한 두 조항으로 끝맺고 있다. 『心成頌』의 서예 미학상의 가치는 다음의 몇 가지 관계에 주의한 점이다. 1. 欹正의 결체 관계 2. 虛實의 결체 관계 3. 主次의 결체 관계 4. 呼應ㆍ避就ㆍ向背 등의 결체 관계 5. 統一의 장법 관계 이상의 몇 가지의 요구는 요약컨대 결체상의 음양 대비의 변증법과 작품 전체의 유기적 통일을 강조한 것으로 보인다. 이것에 따라 다양성을 확보하면서 변화와 통일의 모순을 최대한 조화시켜, 훌륭한 ‘형식미’를 갖춘 글씨를 쓰려는 마음을 늘 가지려 한 것이 智果의 『心成頌』 이라 할 수 있다.

『心成頌-SimSungSong』 is centering around 頌-Song that is, based on 4 letters verse and is summarizing the formative principles of calligraphy with eight pairs contradiction, or sixteen clauses and is ending with two clauses about 章法 -ZhangFa. The aesthetic value of 『心成頌-SimSungSong』 is on the attentive respect for the next some relationships. 1. The formative principle relationships of 欹正-QiZheng. 2. The formative principle relationships of 虛實-XuShi. 3. The formative principle relationships of 主次-ZhuCi. 4. The relationships of formative principles among 呼應 -HuYingㆍ避就-BiJiuㆍ向背-XiangBei etcetera. 5. The relationship of 章法-ZhangFa for unification. To sum up several requests as mentioned above, it seems emphasizing the dialectic from the comparison of 陰-Yin and 陽-Yang, and the organic unification through the whole work. According those aspects, it can be concluded from 『心成頌 -SimSungSong』 of 智果-ZhiGuo that is, 智果-ZhiGuo always trying to keep the mind to writing the letters with excellent formal beauty using the fully harmonized contradiction method which is existing between a variation and an unity.
